Dr. Keith DeVries brings over four decades of rich experience in organic chemistry, spanning discovery to post-launch in the pharmaceutical industry. He earned his PhD under the guidance of the renowned David A. Evans at Harvard University, where he focused on total synthesis. Dr. DeVries' career then took him to Pfizer’s Process Chemistry group, where he transitioned from hands-on research to a key leadership role, overseeing technical operations.
His passion for driving innovative solutions led him to Eli Lilly, where he contributed for 13 years before embarking on a decade-long career as an independent consultant. Dr. DeVries' experience is unparalleled, with over 50 clinical candidates developed throughout his career, including four that successfully advanced to NDA filings. As the group leader, these projects were driven by his oversight, demonstrating his ability to guide teams toward clinical success. His extensive work at GP leverages his deep knowledge of small molecule API, cross-functional CMC disciplines, and CMO/CDMO integration.
