We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Steve W. Djuric has joined General Proximity as an Advisor. Dr. Djuric brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as Vice President of Discovery Chemistry and Technology at AbbVie, where he led their global Medicinal Chemistry Leadership Team.
During his tenure at AbbVie, Dr. Djuric was instrumental in advancing numerous projects in areas such as Immunoscience, Metabolic Disease, and CNS, with several compounds reaching clinical development and market approval, including Abbott's Zotarolimus for vascular stents. He has been recognized as an AbbVie Distinguished Research Fellow and received multiple President’s Awards for notable technological achievements.
With over 180 publications and patents, Dr. Djuric has made significant contributions to medicinal chemistry and currently serves on several editorial boards and scientific advisory boards across the industry. His extensive expertise will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation at General Proximity.
